The 2nd Annual Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference was held in Washington,211u001eDC in early July, 1998. After two days of technical presentations by 211u001einternational experts on cutting-edge technological advances in sustainable 211u001echemistry and engineering, a workshop designed to promote international 211u001ecollaborations was held. The workshop provided a forum for discussion of 211u001einternational industrial and public policy perspectives that drive the scientific 211u001eresearch and engineering of benign processes. Issues, strategies, and programs in 211u001ethe Americas, Asia, and Europe were shared by invited international panelists, 211u001eand areas of mutual concern were identified.
