IRST: Flygburen Sensor foer Taktiska Tillaempningar (IRST: Airborne Sensor for Tactical Applications).

This final report is dealing with the activities that have been carried through in connection with the production of a Swedish demonstrator of an airborne IRST sensor. The activities started in 1996 and have continued to 1999. During this project time, test equipment has been designed for airborne signature measurements and LIDAR measurements. The authors report here on the different phases of development and the subsequent testing of the IRST system. Furthermore, examples are given on initial analysis. Proposals are also given on work that remains to be done in order to be able to make well-founded decisions on a Swedish airborne IRST system.
