Impact of Impact of Dispatching Non-Traditional EMS Resources. Abstract,Executive Summary and Final Report

摘要

The purpose of the report is to develop guidelines allowing dispatchers toidentify callers needing an emergency response versus those whom could receive alternative sources. 911 calls with chief complaints of Fall, Bleeding, Back Pain, Trauma, or Sick assigned the lowest severity level were compared to EMS and hospital charts. A list of critical events (CE) from a previous study was used to determine need for EMS response.
