This report, conducted by Unisys World Trade, Inc, was funded by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency to conduct the feasibility of modernizing Vietnam's customs tax collection and information technology. This report contains information on the general scope of the project, Hanoi Department of Customs, Hanoi Airport, Noi Bai Customs, UNDP Study, Current Vietnam Customs IT implementations, Hai Phong Sea Port, Ho Chi Minh City Customs Binh Duong Customs Department, Final Meeting with Director General, Summary of Customs Procedures, Current Customs Procedures and Infrastructure, Vietnam Customs IT option summary, Recommendations, Systems Requirement Report and Unisys Customs Experience. This project has the potential to produce $13 million in U.S. exports, with the bulk of exports coming from computer hardware and software for HQ and all entry/exit point, project management, implementation services and support services.
