Audit of the Office on Violence Against Women Grants Awarded to Our Sister's Keeper Coalition, Durango, Colorado.

The OVWs Tribal Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions Grant Program supports the development and operation of nonprofit, nongovernmental tribal domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions. Grant funds may be used for activities in compliance with the following statutory purposes: (1) increasing awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault against American Indian and Alaska Native women; (2) enhancing the response to violence against American Indian and Alaska Native women at the tribal, federal, and state levels; and (3) identifying and providing technical assistance to coalition membership and tribal communities to enhance access to essential services to American Indian and Alaska Native women victimized by domestic and sexual violence. The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Audit Division, has completed an audit of Grant No. 2007-IW-AX-0005 awarded by the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) to Our Sisters Keeper Coalition (OSKC).
