Polyethylene Tererphthalate (PET) Resin from India, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Thailand. Investigations Nos. 701-TA-439-440 and 731-TA-1077-1080 (Preliminary)

Based on the record in these investigations, the Commission finds that there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the United State sis materially injured by reason of imports of bottle-grade polyethylene terephthalate resin (PET resin) from India and Thailand that are allegedly to be sold in the United States at less than fair value (LTFV). PET is a large-volume commodity plastic resin commonly used to produce bottles and other containers. Bottle-grade PET resin producers sell the product to downstream converters who fabricate the resin into products for end-use applications such as containers for soft drinks, water, juices, peanut butter, jams and jellies.
