The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports detailed historical data on photovoltaic cell/module manufacturing activities annually in its report, the Renewable Energy Annual. This report, Solar Photovoltaic Cell/Module Manufacturing Activities, provides an overview and tables with historical data spanning 1999-2008. These tables will correspond to similar tables to be presented in the Renewable Energy Annual 2008 and are numbered accordingly. Data in this report are based upon manufacturing shipment information reported on Form EIA-63B, Annual Photovoltaic Module/Cell Manufacturers Survey. Shipments as reported by respondents are for terrestrial use only. Shipments intended for applications in space programs (satellites, military projects, etc.) are excluded.
