摘要

This report presents the methods used by the Materiel Center in carrying out flutter calculations for three-dimensional modes with three degrees of freedom. The methods are based on energy considerations which include the effects of structural damping, and are derived for a wing-aileron-tab combination in which the aileron is provided with some aerodynamic balance and the tab is geared to the aileron motion. The application to other flutter modes is also shown, together with a number of representative numerical examples
