摘要

Several spectrometers for the detection of nuclear magnetic resonances over a frequency range near 30 Mc have been constructed and tested. One of these has proved successful, and quadrupole resonances have been observed in sodium chlorate, potassium chlorate, paradichloro-benzene and chloroform. Remedies have been found for a number of conditions which interfere with the detection of resonances.nA resonator-controlled oscillator has been tested and found to have a temperature coefficient of frequency of approximately 1.1 parts per million per degree C. which is 1.37 times greater than the theoretical maximum. A number of difficulties common to previous circuits, such as uncontrolled oscillation and sensitivity to the proximity of external objects, have been eliminated in the present system.
