NEW DATA ON ALKALI HALIDE FILMS CONTAINING EXCESS HALOGEN

摘要

Further work has been done on thin alkali halide films containing excess halogen. The last Technical Note was concerned with thin films of KI and KBr containing excess I2 and Br2. This Note presents data on thin films of KC1 containing excess I2 Br2 and Cl2 and films of KI and KBr containing Cl2. As before, the films were formed by simultaneous evaporation of an alkali halide and the halogen onto a fused quartz substrate held at low temperature.
