A description of the procedures, results, and equipment pertaining to the 113•2 - 117.0 mc Measure¬ments Program under the subject contract, are presented herein. It has been demonstrated that the obstacle gain effect is also realizable at these frequencies as at 158.85 Mc reported previously. Field measurements indicate the advantage of single obstacle paths having Direct-Direct ray clearance no less than the λ/6 minimum.nThe two-wary mobile units and equipment are also described as they will be employed in the field operations for the remainder of the contract.nThe final section of the report is devoted to a discussion on a possible physical basis for the observed obstacle gain phenomena. It deals with the predicting of field strength behind an obstacle when considering it to be an array of scatterers.
