摘要

This paper presents the results of an analytical and experimental investigation for the determination of the load necessary to produce any given depth of yielding in angle-and T-section columns subjected to eccentric loads. This load is found analytically from the intersection of a constant depth of yielding interaction curve and the moment-load curve (see Part 1 of this Report). The collapse load of the column can be taken as the maximum load given by the moment-load curve.nIn the experimental investigation, tests were made on eccentrically-loaded angle–and T-section columns made from type 304 stainless steel.
