SIMPLE TEST METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE DROP SIZE DISTRIBUTION OF A HOLLOW CONE SPRAY

For hollow cone sprays, where the induced air flow crosses the drop trajectories, an apparent drop size distribution can be obtained by considering the stopping distance of various portions of the liquid flux. A simple procedure was developed to demonstrate the relationship between drop size and liquid flux distribution.
