Thai experiment studied the comparative delectability of circular and non-circular target under a variety of conditions.nIt was found that noncircular targets were usually considerably less detectable and were never more detectable than circular targets of equal area. These results are considered in terms of empirical analyses developed in the earlier papers of this series, and in terms of a theoretical analysis based upon the element contribution hypothesis.
