摘要

The work of this contract is to make a feasibility study of electric power sources for electric thrust devices. Inasmuch as electric thrust devices will be used on space vehicles, space missions determine the environment in which the power sources must operate. This new environment opens up possibilities that would be outside the realm of practicability for vehicles operating within the earth's atmosphere.
