EFFECT OF LATEX AGE ON PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF ACRYLATE AMIDE CAST FILM

Physical properties of “Acrylate-Amide” films cast from formal-dehyde free latex emulsions and aged for several weeks are substantially constant. When formaldehyde is compounded in the emulsions and aged, gradual vulcanization occurs in the later as has been previously reported. This report deals with the effect of latex age on physical properties of cast film subsequently treated with a cross linking agent which improves the surface of this material for cosmetic application
