Sequential Estimation of the Mean of a Normal Population

As estimator we shall use the sample xn of a sample of size n, so that the problem is simply that of choosing n. In particular we shall consider two rules for determining n sequentially.nThe use of the absolute value of the error of estimate, rather than its square, as the loss due to error of estimate is somewhat unconventional but in the present censes no mathematical difficulties.
