The primary objectives of the study were: to analyze the general effects of interstate right-of-way acquisition on adjoining farmland, and to note the economic effects as reflected by the purchase and sales of property adjoining the right-of-way subsequent to the taking. The study area selected provided a cross section of farms in various states of cultivation, including potentially highly productive land to very marginal farmland. (BPR Abstract)
