Study of Air Cargo and Air Passenger Terminal Facilitation

摘要

The purpose of the report is to present the current state-of-the-art and the problems anticipated in the broad field of air cargo and air passenger terminal processing. To achieve this objective the total concepts of air transport systems, facilities and ground handling processes have required identification and analyses. Since each function is a link in the total chain of events of air transportation, this report extends beyond the immediate areas of the facilitation aspects and highlights issues and problems of concern to other elements of DOT, Federal Departments and Agencies, air carrier industry, airport authorities and others. The publication is intended to serve as a guide for identification of problem areas and direction of coordinated planning efforts on all phases of the air terminal handling systems. (Author)
