Construction,Protection and Maintenance of Concrete Bridge Decks.

摘要

The report presents an historical account of deterioration in reinforced concrete bridge decks. The primary forms of deterioration discussed are cracking,scaling,and spalling. Spalling is considered the more serious form of distress. Preventative maintenance treatments,such as sealants or protective coatings,on new structures appear promising and probably are economically justified. As a result of the study,two projects have been initiated which offer promise in providing for more durable decks. A deck was constructed by the bi-layered method in an attempt to enhance performance through provision for exceptionally high quality concrete in the surface layer. A laboratory study is noted for developing a voidless concrete.
