A Discussion of Sites Recommended as Potential Natural Landmarks in the Arctic Lowland, Natural Region, Northern Alaska

The Arctic Lowland region in northern Alaska is described in broad geographic, climatic, and physiographic terms to provide a background for detailed discussions on arctic mammals, birds, fishes, and plant ecological aspects of the region. Eighteen sites possessing unique or noteworthy ecological or biological aspects are described in detail and are recommended for Natural Landmark status.
