摘要

A suggested procedure for the laboratory cyclic triaxial strength test (sometimes called a liquefaction test) is presented. The procedure is in the form of a performance specification so that laboratories may check the adequacy of their cyclic triaxial test equipment and testing procedures. A discussion of acceptable cell features,transducer specifications,signal recording characteristics,and loading equipment performance is included,and minimum performance standards are given. Methods are presented for the preparation of reconstituted soil specimens. In addition,data reduction and presentation methodologies are described. Also presented are the results of a cooperative cyclic triaxial strength test program performed by eight university,government and consulting laboratories to define the cyclic strength characteristics of a standard test sand.
