摘要

Kinetics of dilute-acid hydrolysis of lignocellulose residue from a furfural process is investigated experimentally. The rate constants are determined by a simplified method. By comparing with the kinetics of waste paper hydrolysis in similar conditions the residue is shown to be more easy to hydrolyze. This is evidently due to partial destruction of the crystalline structure of cellulose during the blow-out of the residue from furfural reactor.
