Research on Optical Coatings for Flat Plate Solar Collectors.

摘要

The first quarters efforts were concentrated on studies of the glass etching process. Etching parameters such as solution potency,solution temperature,immersion time,glass pretreatment and type of glass,were studied for their effect on reflectance and durability. Solution potency appeared to have the largest effect on reflectance and durability. However,the solution potency that gave lowest solar reflectance also gave the least durable coatings. Efforts on selective paint and plated coatings are just beginning.
