Investigations into the Effects of a Certain Sea-Weed Foliar Spray (Aqua-10) on Selected Louisiana Agricultural Crops,

The purpose of this study was to conduct preliminary studies on the effects of a domestically produced Sea-weed foliar spray (Aqua-10) on several crops grown in South Louisiana. Emphasis was placed on sugar cane in this study since some 375,000acres of cane are grown in this area. Other crops included orange trees,permanent pasture (Bermuda grasses),soybeans,garlic,peanuts, snapbeans,and other vegetables. The use of Sea-weed as a fertilizer or growth stimulant in the United States has been limited to small amounts imported from Britain since World War II and has not figured prominently as a major agricultural aid for any crop until present.
