Small Business and Innovation: A Report of an SBA Office of Advocacy Task Force.

Under the auspices of a task force appointed by the SBA's chief counsel for advocacy, a series of hearing were held on January 4-5 and February 22-23, 1979, in Washington, D.C., on the subject of innovation and small business. This report contains the text of a proposed 'Small Business Innovation Act of 1979' that resulted from those hearings, along with an analysis of its proposals and the complete text of two related studies by the U.S. Department of Commerce, 'The Effects of Domestic Policies of the Federal Government upon Innovation by Small Businesses' (May 1979) and 'Recommendations for Creating Jobs through the Success of Small, Innovative Businesses' (December 1978).
