摘要

Social, technical and economic reasons require an enhanced application of handling systems such as industrial robots. As quality and efficiency of an industrial robot depend greatly on its drives, an effort was made to analyze all the drive systems possible with industrial robots, and to develop, improve and adapt those types of drives that are likely to be most suitable for advanced applications. Work on this project includes theoretical and experimental research as well as constructions, manufacturing, assembly and final tests. The aim of this work is to offer drives of different characteristics using different forms of energy to cover the needs of a large variety of applications in industrial handling systems.
