Dynamic Response of Two-Span Steel Beams Subjected to Removal of Interior Support

摘要

A research program concerning the influence of dynamic effects in steel structures in connection with progressive collapse has been undertaken. The aim of this report is to evaluate the fundamental behavior of simple geometrical models representing the structure in the area of primary damage. The analysis is applied to steel structures. However, it should be mentioned that many of the principles and results also are applicable on concrete structures.
