Residential Solar Demonstration Program: Findings of the Passive Solar Residential Design Competition and Demonstration

Findings resulting from the 1978 HUD Passive Solar Residential Design Competition and Demonstration program to encourage passive solar housing are summarized. The report is based on a survey of 42 award sites in 19 states and nearly 200 interviews with associated designers, builders, purchasers, and financial institutions.
