Guide to the Use of Deposits on the HP3000 Minicomputer

This manual is to document the current version of the DEPOSITS computer program as it exists on the HP3000 that resides in the University of Kentucky Agricultural Data Center. This manual was written as a supplement to the DEPOSITS Sedimentation Pond Design Manual as published by IMMR (Ward, Haan, and Tapp 1979). The original manual describes the basic computer program in detail and gives good instruction in the use of the program in a batch mode. The original manual also gives a wealth of background information helpful in using the program on such areas as spillway design, chemical treatment, etc. The material in the original manual will, in general, not be repeated in this HP3000 users manual. However, in some instances, for the sake of completeness, material extracted from the original manual will appear in this manual. The main theme of this manual is to assist a user of the DEPOSITS Program as he interacts with the HP3000 in completing the design of a sediment pond.
