Texture Modifies Water Transport of Nutrient Ions in Coastal Plain Soils

Downward displacement of ions by water through loamy sand, sandy loams, and loam topsoils increased as texture became sandier but was adequate in all soils to insure that nutrients will be accessible to feeder roots in established pine plantations.
