EPA proposes regulations to limit effluent discharges to waters of the United States and limit the introduction of pollutants into publicly owned treatment works from facilities engaged in aluminum forming. The purpose of this proposal is to provide effluent limitations guidelines based on 'best practicable technology,' 'best available technology,' and to establish new source performance standards and pretreatment standards for new and existing facilities under the Clean Water Act. After considering comments received in response to this proposal, EPA will promulgate a final rule.
