Preliminary Control Technology Assessment of Whitacre-Greer Fireproofing Company, Waynesburg, Ohio

Health hazard control methods, work processes, and existing control technologies used in the manufacture of brick products were evaluated at Whitacre Greer Fireproofing Company (SIC-3251), Waynesboro, Ohio in September, 1982. The company employed 66 workers involved in the production of brick pavers, face brick, acid brick, and refractory brick from locally mined clays. The author does not recommend an in depth study of the company since no unique state of the art control technologies are used.
