U.S. Seed Exports for the Marketing Year through February and Comparisons with Previous Year, April 1983

Exports of U.S. seeds for planting totaled $204.8 million during the July 1982-February 1983 period, 4% above a year earlier. Vegetable seed exports totaled $75.1 million, 37 percent of total exports and 10% above a year ago. Forage seed exports totaled $48.8 million, an increase of 11% over last year, while corn seed exports declined 10% to $40.4 for the 8-month period. February U.S. seed exports totaled $34.5 million, 18% below a year earlier.
