摘要

A cooperative test program was conducted from March 3 through March 7, 1986, by Air Resources Board (ARB) and South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) staff to evaluate the gaseous constituents from untreated landfill gas used to fuel a ground level flare and the emissions from that flare located at the BKK Corporation Landfill in West Covina, California. The flare was fueled with gases generated by anaerobic decomposition of buried refuse at the landfill. Emissions of criteria pollutants, mass flow rates, and destruction removal efficiencies (DRE) of non-criteria pollutant compounds are presented. DREs for selected chlorinated and aromatic organic compounds determined from data from ARB resin samples ranged from 71 to 99+ percent for chlorinated compounds and from 60 to 99+ percent for aromatic compounds. Dioxins, furans, and polychlorinated biphenyls were not detected in the inlet nor the outlet gas stream samples.
