Problems with the load are often due to strong modified driving behavior on one hand and on the other hand to the wrong anchorage of the load. The mostly incidental character of such problems in holiday and recreation traffic leads also to a lack of adequate driving experience. Another factor is the attitude of many drivers which leads them not to bother about making such transport safer by more preparation or by spending more. Holiday traffic consists mostly of long journeys, overfilled cars and drivers who are not really fit. Recommendations for safety measures for the load in, on, at or behind the car are presented.
