Implementation of Encoders and Decoders for Reed-Solomon Codes

摘要

The authors show that it is possible to use a simple and cheap 8-bit microprocessor for implementation of rather complex error correcting coding methods and that it is possible to use this implementation for information rates up to 10 kbit/s. The authors also show what improvements of the bit error probability one can expect for some information rates by using these error correcting codes and their implementation.
