摘要

Chemical analysis of water from interaquifer connector wells and associatedmonitor wells in the central florida phosphate district has been accomplished within this study. An understanding of the chemistry suggests that are controls on the mobility of uranium-238 and its decay progeny. The data suggest there are hydrologic condition that cause mobilization of iron, sulfur and radionuclides in groundwater and provide a basis for well location and management that would minimize risks of failure in meeting water-quality criteria.
