摘要

The potential of fluid loops as active thermal control systems for spacecraft has been investigated previously. In this report the results are presented of a small, more detailed study of a particular fluid loop which will be used on Spacelab. Its purpose is to control the temperature of experiments by the judicious removal of heat by means of a liquid coolant which circulates in a closed loop and to transfer this heat to the Spacelab's avionics air loop. A modular liquid/air cross flow heat exchanger constitutes the thermal link between coolant and air loops.
