On-Stream Determination of ZN-Content in ZN-Ore Slurries by Radioisotope X-Ray Fluorescence

This report is an account on on-stream test results obtained during a 15-months period from a prototype on-stream X-ray fluorescence measuring unit installed at a flotation plant to measure Zn content in the tailings. During the first 12 months of operation a few sources of error were found. These were eliminated by improvements made mainly in the flow-cell design. During the last 3 months of operation useful results for operation of the plant were delivered. (Atomindex citation 11:514042)
