摘要

Starting from the formulation of the initial boundary value problem of the linear theory of elasticity, sets of two dimensional equations with corresponding boundary and initial values are derived by asymptotic expansions in a thickness parameter epsilon. Epsilon is equivalent to h/L, where 2h is the thickness of the plate and L is the minimum wave length of the deformation pattern in the midplane of the plate.
