摘要

Convenient nonwetting coatings for the cesium emitters of field emission thrusters were studied, selected, and tested in an effort to reduce the neutral rate, the interlectrodes current, and the beam divergence. An increased intensity stability was also sought. Topics covered include determining both the physical and engineering properties of coatings and establishing selection criteria related to the compatibility of coating and emitter material and environment.
