Scale Model of the SWD 5000 LW Rotor Wind Tunnel Tests for Different Blade Setting Angles

摘要

The wind tunnel performance of a 1:3.33 scale model of the SWD 5000 LW windpowered pump rotor for different blade angle settings is described. Results are given as power and torque curves, and optimum blade angles with respect to maximum power and torque at startup were assessed. Results show that extension of the blades towards the center does not increase the starting torque.
