Results of Qualification Tests for the Inflight Calibration Lamp of the HRV Camera Used in the SPOT Project, Appendix 5

Service life, duty cycling in spatial ambient conditions, and irradiation tests were carried out on a standard 20W 12V lamp to be used for calibrating the SPOT satellite photographic equipment. The lamp conforms to specifications except for vibration. The crimping pins in the lamp support must be modified and vibrations which cause the filament to fracture must be filtered.
