摘要

A computational method describing the vibrational behavior of finite circular cylindrical shell and tube arrays subjected to liquid axial flow was developed. The results show a decrease of the eigenfrequencies of the system due to the hydrodynamic forces and coupling effects. Structural instability phenomena caused by axial flow velocity were investigated. Increasing the hydrodynamic coupling, i.e., increasing the number of bodies and decreasing their spacing, provokes instabilities at considerably lower fluid velocities.
