Investigation into the Use of the TV Magnifier in the Netherlands

A television magnifier is described which facilitates reading by the near blind. The appliance consists of a closed TV circuit (camera plus monitor). It magnifies up to about 30 times, has a wide field of vision, greater clarity, reversible contrast (can switch to white letters on a black field), and offers greater comfort to the reader, i.e., restriction of head movement.
