The flow and combustion processes in a solid fuel combustion chamber were studied. The different processes occurring in such a combustion chamber are introduced. Results from other investigations in similar chambers are discussed; they show which parameters affect the flow and combustion behavior, but do not reveal the internal correlations. The measuring program, and diagnostic techniques are presented.
