摘要

The kinetics of aggregation of polystyrene particles of 481 nm in a solution of a uni-univalent salt in the concentration range 0.05 to 2.6 M was investigated. Using quasi-elastic light scattering to measure the line width and hence the hydrodynamic radius of the clusters, the value 1.75 + or - 0.003 is found for the fractal dimension of the aggregates in the fast coagulation regime, while the exponential kinetics are recovered with low salt content.
