Spatial Resolution, Grayscale, and Error Diffusion Trade-Offs: Impact on DisplaySystem Design

We examine technology trade-offs related to grayscale resolution, spatialresolution, and error diffusion for tessellated display systems. We present new empirical results from our psychophysical study of these trade-offs and compare them to the predictions of a model of human vision.
