LOW EXPOSURE METHOD FOR DISPOSING OF HIGH ACTIVITY WASTES

摘要

A method for disposing of process wastes containing from 0-500 curies of beta-gamma materials is described. The entire process, from encapsulating in a hot cell through burying in the ground, results in only nominal radiation exposure to operating personnel. Possible application of this technique in the disposition of other waste materials is discussed.
